Improve early diagnosis of Heart Disease......
In 1999, I lost my Mum overnight when she had a fatal heart attack in bed. She was 62. I was unable to say goodbye to her. There were no early warning signs that she was suffering from heart disease, caused by atherosclerosis.
I know of at least 20 work colleagues, who have passed prior to, or just after retirement between 45-60 in the public service that we served for many years. Too much stress, long hours, shifts, overworked etc…they had no warning most….
I am supporting the BHF national campaign to raise awareness for those 50 or over and to improve the early diagnosis of heart disease. Those over 50 need to have a cardiovascular review…… please see your GP asap……
I am therefore running the London Marathon again in October for the BHF. I first ran the London Marathon for them in 1990.
If your lives have been devastated by a heart related condition, of a friend or a loved one, then please donate to my Go Fund Me page please. I would be extremely grateful. We must get better at early diagnosis. The beating heart is what ultimately keeps us alive first and foremost.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of British Heart Foundation and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
