Making NoLimbah happen - there's no time to waste!

NoLimbah is a refined waste management tech startup that encourages households to dispose of their waste responsibly in the most effective and convenient way.

Based on the Indonesia National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP), in 2020 alone, 70% of the 6.8 million tons of generated plastic waste was mismanaged, and that includes 60% of the total generated waste not being collected at all. Households represented 41.4% of waste contributors.

While the situation seems overwhelming, it is never too late to make a change. With your help, we can play a major role in improving waste management in Indonesia. Mismanaged waste often ends up in our rivers and ultimately in our oceans, causing major harm to the environment. We need to stop this problem at the source… on our land. We have built a mobile application that ensures household waste collection through a fair and profitable model for users, collectors, contributors, and business partners.

NoLimbah is as simple as food delivery/ridesharing apps. Our application helps households get their waste collected in minutes by connecting them to the nearest informal waste collector. Instead of paying a waste collection service like most households currently do, they will get paid for their inorganic waste contribution.

The NoLimbah app will allow local and informal waste collectors to increase their productivity effectively by receiving direction on where and when to collect recyclable waste.

This concept has proven a significant change in our beta testers' habits of waste disposal, as well as a steady increase on the collectors' income. Not only that, we've successfully cleared Bali from nearly 1 ton of trash as of today. The positive impact we’ve made was from only one village in Bali (Desa Ayunan). Imagine if we could get everyone involved and make the most out of our application!
