Dear friends, through your generous donations, we were able to contribute to the educational costs of four students through Hal's church and Towson University communities. Thank you again for your support during this impossible time. We are everlastingly grateful to be able to honour Hal's memory in this way. Update as of November 10:

Dear community, we have surpassed our goal by more than twice our original amount. We're blown away! We close the fundraiser today with enormous gratitude for every single person who donated, shared or sent love our way. We'll be back with a final update once the funds have been donated. We are so overwhelmed that we've reached and surpassed out goal in just 2 days. We know that every dollar counts when it comes to tuition and school costs so will keep the fundraiser open until November 10. Feel no compulsion to donate beyond the goal. We will be back with an update once the student has received the donation. Thank you again for all your support!

Halcyon was a teacher by profession and by nature. Instead of focusing on herself, she focused on her students. In lieu of buying sympathy flowers or plants for the ceremony, her family is asking that you donate to a one-time contribution for a student in need to help cover educational costs.
