In Daisy's honor - Saving Sage Foundation

Daisy's story is a heartbreaking one, but it is also a story of love and resilience. For 28 days, she and her siblings were tortured by a cruel petsitter who refused to feed or water them. Despite her pain, suffering and extreme weakness, Daisy remained loyal, loving and affectionate, following her abuser everywhere in the hope of a kind gesture or even a scrap of food or some water.

On June 27th, Daisy died of dehydration. Her sister was nearly dead as well, and her brothers were so weak they could barely move. When the tragedy was brought to light, they were immediately taken to the vet and spent days getting better, but due to their love for their mom and dad and each other, the four made it through.

Daisy's story is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. She was a shining example of love, loyalty, and kindness. She was the embodiment of love. Daisy was just so very pure. And we want to make sure her death was not in vain.

Daisy's story has brought awareness to the torture and mistreatment that so many animals endure every day at the hands of the people they love and trust. Police departments, detectives, veterinarians, family and friends all came together to make sure Daisy got the justice she more than deserved. After all, animals are the silent sufferers who need advocates to stand up on their behalf - and that's where animal rescue organizations like Saving Sage Rescue, which is working hard to save the lives of innocent beings like Daisy and her siblings every.single.day, rain or shine.
