In Defense of Linda Carlson

My mom (Linda Carlson) had a court-appointed guardian who was ordered in March of 2022 to turn everything of Linda's over to me- money, property, accounts, records and all, and file a complete financial accounting for the last six years. I have been on FMLA leave (without pay) from work due to my health status.

Linda's guardian was accused of committing elder abuse and wrongfully accessing and taking funds, among other things. I was entered as a substitute court-appointed guardian for my mother. My brother, Sam, and I have spent almost 20,000 dollars in legal and health expenses with more to come.

We filed a motion to hold the previous guardian in contempt of court in June of 2022. They went into hiding before our contempt hearing in September. The judge told us to hire a private investigator, and said we have a tragic case, but, “sometimes the people not in compliance win.”

I have been through a lot of things in my life, like having to run away from home with Sam to get my mom help, or beginning Adult Education with a 4th-grade education and then going straight to college. As I am a caregiver for Sam and my mother, this is the greatest crisis I've faced in my entire life.

I am fighting for the well-being of my mother, and am the last line of defense for my family against whatever the world has left to offer them. Funds raised will be dedicated to Linda's legal, medical and prescription medication expenses. Please help
