In desperate need of a van!

Ken Tuckers' story is a terrible roller coaster ride of extreme highs and the deepest of lows. It's a story of a curvy path of defeats and victories. Ken has been playing guitar since the age of eleven. His goal was to be a professional musician from early on. Life threw lots of curve balls at him that affected him to the core, constant bullying through all the years at school, a sense of disenfranchisement with his family, and the death of his mother at 59 and later, his grandmother set him on a course of self-medication through alcohol. He spent twenty-three years slamming large amounts of hard liquor daily until the fateful day when he mixed a copious amount of alcohol with prescription narcotics. Ken blacked out and decided to drive, which ultimately ended in a crash into the back of a planter that was being pulled by a farm tractor. Thankfully Ken was the only person who was hurt, but he was very seriously injured. Ken was life-flighted to a major hospital with nine broken bones on his right side including his femur, hip socket, and four ribs along with a bleeding punctured and collapsed lung. The doctors were not very optimistic about his survival. Ken was on life support and spent six weeks in a coma. Ken surprised everyone by beating the odds. Three months in a hospital bed with daily physical rehabilitation were very difficult but he finally was able to return home. Now that Ken was sober he vowed to never drink alcohol again. This in turn spurred him to start performing again. Ken called his old friend and drummer Jimbo 19. They had played together off and on over the nearly 15 years before and they were a good musical team. After three or four bass players came through they finally got Mark Anderson on board and hence The Ken Tucker Blues Band is back. That's not to say Ken is in the same shape as before. The wreck had taken a huge toll on his body. His right leg is still very weak and he has to use a cane as well as walk much slower. His lung collapse has made his breathing somewhat more difficult. Despite this, his musical chops have remained. His guitar playing and singing are as strong as ever. Here's where you come in, KTBB fans and friends. We need a reliable tour van because we are preparing for a tour of the south playing major clubs over a week and we can't do that without a tour van that can carry us and our gear from venue to venue. Ken is still recording and writing and fighting but he humbly asks for your help in this endeavor.
