Caring for the Thompson Family

Trey Thompson was a real life hero to his wife Haven, their 4 boys, and countless lives around him.

Trey and his family were on a cruise to the Bahamas when suddenly struck by a severe medical emergency. As the result of a serious brain bleed, Trey was instantly in critical condition. Because he wasn't stable enough to be transported by helicopter, the cruise ship rerouted to Port Canaveral where the family could disembark and be quickly rushed to the nearest hospital. After some initial testing and efforts at stabilization, it was clear the family would need to get Trey to Melbourne where he could receive care from a Neurosurgery team. The next several weeks were filled with prayers, tears, visits from friends, and excellent care by the medical staff at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

After 3 weeks in the hospital, countless prayers by his loving family and friends, and the best efforts of a caring medical team, Trey went on to be with the Lord. His beautiful legacy is carried on through his family and the countless lives he touched.
