In Fond Memory of Diem Tran-Supporting her family

Dear Friends, Colleagues, Family, and Relatives:
On December 9th, 2021, Diem Tran passed away unexpectedly due to a tragic car accident on her way to work. Due to the severe impact of the collision, Diem died at the scene. The tragic passing of Diem has left her family and friends in a state of shock and grief. As a social worker, Diem connected with many people and brought so many positive impacts to the community overall. At age 44, she passed so soon, leaving behind a bright future, a loving husband, Vi Tran, and two daughters aged 11, 15 and a 9-yr old son.
As close friends of Diem's husband, Vi Tran (Yerba Buena Class of 1994), we respected the family's privacy to mourn the loss of Diem. We initiated fundraising to help cover the cost to support the kids for their future. Our hopes with this fundraising are to support Diem's children's future education so that she can have some peace of mind, knowing they can pursue whatever passion they have, thanks to the support of those who loved their mom. Although your donations will not bring Diem back, they will help her surviving husband focus on their children's emotional healing.
