In home IV Treatment for Allison Murphy

Hi, my name is Desiree, and if you are receiving this, you will probably know who I am. My friend, Allison Murphy, is undergoing a high amount of chemo battling stage 4 breast cancer. She has been a true warrior for the past six years or so and much stronger than I could ever be in facing these treatments. Unfortunately, they leave her pretty dehydrated to the point where she has had to go to the ER to get an IV, which means sitting in the waiting room for four hours before being seen. When feeling sick and at your weakest, the last thing you would want to do is sit in a waiting room for hours.

So I am sending this out to those who may be able to donate any amount to help in getting some in-home IV treatments to help her feel some comfort while she is undergoing chemotherapy. She has 11 more chemo infusions to go. These IV treatments are about $250 - $300 per treatment, and insurance does not cover them at urgent care or the ER. I hope to raise enough to get her two-three IV treatments for when she feels really dehydrated and cannot schedule them during business hours.

Ali is humble and is not aware that I am putting this together. She is not one to ask for help, but I truly believe she deserves a community of people who are able to help. Please do not feel bad if you cannot donate funds; I understand times are tough. I will be collecting donated funds and setting up the IV treatments for Ali (it will be a surprise for her)! I am trying to keep this discrete as she is not one to ask for help.
