It is with great honor and pride, that we announce the passing of our mother, Eileen Ortiz. She has gained another badge of true courage and selflessness on this earth. Her journey has been one that only a warrior could withstand. She never backed down and she never gave up. Our mother is pure light in this world. She is a woman of faith! She is a friend to those who seek love, seek change, and are overlooked by many. She never gives up on you. She reminds you daily, how God’s love can conquer all things. She is loved by all! Her children stand tall and proud, to be under her wing and be on this journey of life with her. She overcame all of her fears, all of her sadness. She forgave all. She sought to do things and she did them, and we are so proud of all her triumphs. She is victorious!
Her contagious smile and laugh will forever remind us of the joy that God has to offer. She is beauty! She has remained faithful and has been an inspiration to all. Her passions are many but to name a few, serving the Lord, worshiping, reading the word, helping others, guiding others with sobriety and recovery, as a drug and alcohol counselor, her job was a love that she was so compassionate about. If you didn’t believe in you, she would!! And she wouldn’t stop till you fulfilled your goal. She gave her life and all her time to those, who others, would have already abandoned. The word restoration comes to mind when we think about mom. She did a lot of restoration work in her own life, within her self and helped restore the many different walks of life that flocked to her. She is contagious! There wasn’t a broken path that mom, couldn’t mend.
She proudly earned her degree. She purchased her grandmother’s home In Guadalupe, Ca. And She paid off her car. All! While fighting cancer. Her greatest accomplishment? Raising us, her kids. She is blessed! “They call her blessed!” And in turn we are blessed! Her biggest love of life, her family. Each and every one. Her kids, her grandkids. She was proud to be called mom but was honored to be called famah! (Grandma) She was made for this role. Proudest famah on the block. She loved with a love so strong, nothing could keep her from her grand babies. This is her legacy and she shouted it for all to see. She is joy! She is deserving! Of all God’s promises.
We appreciate your compassion for our mother and allowing us to post her announcement before posting tribute to her. We know there are so many who are ready to express their gratitude and love for her. Before mom left, she said to us.. “Don’t carry all the weight on your shoulders.” She said, “call on my people. They will come! They will show up for me. They know how I love my family. They won’t leave you alone.” We ask humbly and broken hearted, that our family please remain in your prayers. For our biggest prayer warrior is now rejoicing, worshiping, and renewed by him. She is walking in his promises! She is an enduring one! She is hope! She is love!
Don’t forget mom, you promised you would keep bugging God about us joining you one day! We’ll be waiting to be reunited with our one true love! Our mama Eileen!
God you are king! And our mother, will always be… The daughter of the king!! We pray that you all continue to lean on the Lord, just like our mother Eileen always has. W.W.E.S? (What would Eileen say?) (“Eileen, you know, like, I lean on the Lord”) and always seek him in high tide or low tide. She is happy, at peace, and is in everything beautiful we see. She will forever be with us all, for she is an impact in all of our lives. She is with us in our days, nights, and all things we do.
She is our mother, famah, daughter, sister, granddaughter, auntie, cousin, niece, friend, and counselor. Keep her memory and legacy alive by allows seeking him and by doing right, even when you want to do wrong. She was that angel on our shoulders to snap us back into our true selves. We are blessed to know her and be in her presence! We are eternally grateful for her life! A 4 pound preemie who came into this world and defied all odds, time and time again. She is strength! We love you in this life and beyond! We are honored! We love you beyond this earth mom! ️
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Proverbs 31:28
27She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband praises her as well: 29“Many daughters have done noble things, but you surpass them all!”
