In Honor of Christopher Thomas
Donation protected
On October 7th, and only 18 years old, God called home a beautiful and amazing young man. Christopher Thomas was a beloved son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Chris was so excited for the next chapter in his life, being a father in 7 months. Chris always had a protective nature. He was fiercely protective of his mother Kiesha and always said that she was his hero – he made sure she always knew this. Chris always looked out for everyone in his life and even those he barely knew. While in high school, Chris heard about a boy who was considering taking his life because he was being bullied at the bus stop. Chris, being the natural protector he was, walked this kid to the bus stop every day to make sure he got on the bus safely.
Chris was loved by everyone who met him. This charismatic young man loved God and God knew it because this man knew how to pray. He loved football, especially the Green Bay Packers. Chris enjoyed all types of music, hanging out with his girlfriend, friends, and spending time with his family. Chris will always be remembered for his kind heart and warm friendly spirit. To know Chris was to love Chris. His smile and energy would light up the room anytime he walked in.
This recent loss has left a huge void in the hearts of those closest to Chris. The grieving and healing process that his family is now faced with is a feeling in which most of us cannot even begin to imagine. There are no words for the tragedy Kiesha is currently experiencing. She lost her best friend, her rock, her own personal hero while Wayland has lost his baby brother and best friend.
With all this heartache, which will take so much time to heal from, we are setting up this Go Fund Me account to assist with the unavoidable financial costs of the healthcare Chris received while hospitalized, the cost of funeral expenses, and other expenses incurred during this grieving period. Kiesha needs time to grieve and heal, without the stress of financial burden. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. It is times like this when we are called to step up and show up for our friend, sister, and coworker.
God needed the best angel in Heaven and Chris will always be with Kiesha, protecting her and all the people who loved and adored him.
**If anyone from Medical City Dallas, where Kiesha is employed, would like to donate/transfer their PTO to her, it is possible. You can message me or talk to HR about this process**
