Hello my name is Erica Mullett and I’m fundraising for my father Gary Mullett. My dad has been through some of the toughest battles. Last year around June my dad had one of the biggest surgeries he’s ever dad. They had took his esophagus out because cancer had ate it up. My dad hasn’t been able to eat, drink, he’s hasn’t even been able to swallow his own spit. It’s been hard. Then getting diagnosed again with cancer in his lymph nodes and he just found out 2 weeks ago he had 3 new tumors in his brain. Tuesday 7/16 he went into cardiac arrest, he had no heart beat. They didn’t get him back until after 12 minutes. He was on a ventilator, he couldn’t get off oxygen without it dropping, his blood pressure will not stay up. They finally took him to a ct scan and found out that he has a brain bleed. He has been declining every single day. I had to make the toughest decisions for my dad. He doesn’t have long. The doctors said he will not be here much longer. My dad loved his Wayne county community. He coached for many many years for different kids. He worked at Zims bagging for many years, fmsm, Save A Lot, West Virginia pizza and Davis H. Elliott. I remember when my brothers and I were kids and my dad would go into the woods and get fire wood and walk it down the huge hill to his truck, just to get money. My dad would go over and beyond for his kids. He would do anything for anyone, that’s the kind of kind hearted man he is. He had opened one of the best BBQ trucks and fed many people his delicious food until he got sick. He has been a member of the best church family you could ever have, New Life Outreach. He is a great father, a great grandpa, a great Christian man, and a great friend to many. With such outrageous upcoming funeral expenses, our family is asking the community for help and support.
