Just one month after being declared cancer free, Jake Rehling, St Francis Police Chief, tragically and suddenly passed away after struggling with complications from cancer. Jake was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma in July 2015 and fought hard for 16 months. Sadly, Jake left behind his beautiful wife, Brooke, and son Aiden. Jake was born December 21, 1974 in Onamia, Minnesota to Darrell “Ole” and Carrie (Stoltman) Rehling. He was raised in Isanti and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1993. Jake continued his education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bethel University. He was also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Chief Jake Rehling worked for the St. Francis Police Department where he dutifully served his community for 16 years. Jake was an avid outdoorsman and hunted globally. He was recognized for his archery expertise through many professional sponsorships. Jake loved his family dearly; they always came first. He was an amazing husband and
a dedicated dad. He loved his community and coaching his son in sports. He was happiest when
hunting with his wife Brooke. Jake was everybody’s best friend and was so many things to so many people. He truly was one of a kind.
