In Honor of Jaime Lukens & Family Memorial Fund

My name is Janna Lukens-Beau, and I am the youngest sibling of the Lukens family. It is with incredible sadness that my family and I share the loss of our oldest brother, Jaime, on June 30, 2023, after an 8-year battle with cancer. Jaime was a loving friend, son, brother, and father to four, including three minor children.

Jaime was a charismatic, spontaneous, and caring individual who cherished his family deeply and yearned to live life to the very fullest. He traveled the world, making friends and impacts at every stop he called home. Jaime radiated positive energy in everything he did, so much so that many were unaware of the trials and tribulations he and his family had endured over the years.

In 2015, Jaime and his wife, Lisa, along with their 3 young children were living in Dubuque, IA when he admitted himself to the hospital due to stomach pain. After several tests, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST). In December 2019, tragedy struck the Lukens family again when Lisa died unexpectedly. Jaime was left to grieve the devastating passing of his wife and take on the new role of a single father, all while courageously battling the effects of his cancer symptoms and treatments. After years of battling, the aggressive behavior of the cancer took its final toll on Jaime’s body. Although he is not physically here, the memories shared and his zest for life will always remain in our hearts.

As we celebrate the life of Jaime, this GoFundMe campaign has been created to support his children, Ava (17), Jack (15), and Gracie (14), as they navigate these difficult times. The future challenges they will face should not be left to their burden; your support will help alleviate the financial strains encountered by these young teenagers.

This will be a journey of healing for our entire family. Thank you for your generosity, love, and continued support as we honor our brother.
