In Honor of my Mother and her Final Resting Place

Hello, my name is Aisha. I created this fund to pay for the fees associated with becoming a licensed cemetery manager and fund seed money for my foundation that is in honor of my mother for the perpetual upkeep for abandoned cemeteries. On July 22nd, 2023, my journey began with the knowledge of the closure of Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, where my mother is buried. Since July, I chose to be a solution. With the encouragement of others, I applied to become a cemetery manager so no other families could go through the heartache of sudden closure like I have experienced. Being a cemetery manager will allow me to take care of families of loved ones that have passed on. With my foundation it will help fund immediate needs of cemeteries that do not have endowments and families who may need help with their upkeep with maintenance in the cemeteries.

This cemetery in particular, Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, is a Historical Black Cemetery with a rich history that definitely needs to be preserved, which my foundation will cater to. I am thankful that I am an integral part of conserving this important history and cemeteries like it for generations to come.
