He Lived For Others
You could never tell it if you saw him. He was a soft spoken, humble, resilient, astute, and reasonable man. He was a simple man. He graduated Mechanical Engineering. He was a hard worker, he was the early worm; he was a planner, a goal setter and he achieved every goal. He performed every task to perfection, living the motto, "do things perfect the first time and you won't have to fix anything." He gardened, he was a handyman, a jack of all trades, and had the gift of restoring everything even relationships, but what others will remember him most for is how he lived his life for others.
When asked what dreams he had for himself when he was young, he said he had one, "I wanted to bring my family to America." It took 17 years, but his perseverance paid off. He provided for his wife and children until we were able to make it on our own. His generosity surpassed even our family to extended family, being a mentor and mediator between families. He helped to take care of his mother-in-law and father-in-law till they died. He was even known to help those in need in the Philippines. He loved people and volunteered time to his church choir. As one parishioner once put it, "he sang like an angel and brought me to tears."
On the 29th of September 2021, the feast of the Archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, our father, Jose Dado Daep, joined the ranks of the superheroes who went before him, having succumbed to his battle with COVID-19, after 36 days. Many have asked how they could help so we started this account. Thank you for your support in honoring our father.
