Help Sponsor “Sam’s Studio” – A Space For Everything Creative, Sparkly And Magical
In honor and memory of Samantha Conboy, we are raising funds to create “Sam’s Studio” an art space at the Rotary Youth Summer Camp of North Florida dedicated to Samantha and to other organizations that help children with disabilities.
Sam devoted her life to creating art, making everyone around her laugh, and to helping anyone in need. She was the type of person who instantly became your best friend as she brightened up every room with her beaming smile. Wherever she went, sunshine followed. She wore rings on every finger and never left home without a flower in her hair. Her spirit was infectious and her laugh was contagious. Her artwork was always colorful, bright, and extraordinary. She created, she loved deeply, and she laughed with all of her heart.
The 501(c)3 Rotary Youth Summer camp is a completely donation-based sleep away camp for children with disabilities where Samantha was the arts and crafts coordinator for the last 10 years. Campers do not pay to go to the camp, instead, they are sponsored by RYC. The RYC’s philosophy is to bring campers of all differences together to enable its participants to grow in self-confidence and to experience success in physical activities and social relationships.
In Sam’s huge capacity to love, the Rotary Youth Summer camp was a big part of her heart. In her own words “The amount of acceptance, love, and awareness this camp provides is one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever been a part of.”
Samantha passed away on August 2nd, 2020, tragically in a golf cart accident on the last day of camp. She is survived by her mother, Corrine Hudzik, her brother, Ron Conboy, her boyfriend Justin Goodson, and innumerable others who are forever changed by her kindness.
It is the intention of her family to donate the proceeds from this fundraiser to install a permanent space at the camp where Sam’s legacy and love of art can continue to live on. And yes, there will be an endless supply of face paint and glitter.
The world would be a better place if everyone could be a little bit more like Sam. She was kind, caring, silly, loving, and real.
We are asking for your help. Please help us get the word out by sharing the link to your Facebook page. The family promises to update the donors with the progress of the fundraiser and the progress of the studio space on Sam’s Facebook Page.
Much gratitude for giving.
