In Honor of Tanny Mays, Help KC Clay Guild raise $5,000

Tax deductible
Keith and Nancy Mays have awarded a matching grant of $5000 to KC Clay Guild. Keith is a longtime clay guild member and volunteer. The grant is being given on behalf of his mother Tanny Mays, an artist and ceramics instructor who inspired many people - including Keith - in their creative pursuits. Keith and Nancy are hoping to help KC Clay Guild raise an additional $5000 by challenging anyone who was also inspired by an art teacher to contribute to the matching grant fund. All funds will help KC Clay Guild continue to build on its mission of providing ceramics education in Kansas City.

KC Clay Guild (501(c)3) is raising funds to expand access to ceramic arts education for the Kansas City community. By purchasing, renovating, and outfitting a larger studio and gallery building, KC Clay Guild will be able to better serve our community by offering new low and no cost programming, affordable artist studios, and expanded educational programming for all.

Since September 2023, KC Clay Guild has raised over $240,000, nearly half way to the Phase 1 goal. With this matching grant, we will raise a total of $10,000 and will be well over 50%!
