Family Statement Regarding Passing of Ted Guerra Recidoro

Everything that has happened to our family in just the past 2 months feels very unreal and sometimes unfair. We know it will take a long time before we will ever feel okay.
April 7th is the day when our whole world completely flipped on its head when mom was admitted and intubated due to COVID with dad following two days later. We are so grateful after 9 days on the ventilator and 38 days in the hospital and in a rehab facility, mom made it back home. She is still very far from how she used to be and needs an oxygen tank, home physical therapy, and occupational therapy in order to recover.
Unfortunately, after 57 days in the hospital dad peacefully passed on June 5th, 2020 surrounded by me, Mom, and Therese with one final disco dance party listening to Earth, Wind, and Fire and the Stylistics.
This fund is established to cover funeral and burial expenses, medical expenses, mental and grief counseling, and to assist in mom's recovery. A portion of these funds will be used to fulfill one of dad's greatest dreams which was to ensure his children complete their education. Therese is finishing up her Junior year at UC Santa Cruz in pursuit of medical school and is heartbroken dad could not be at her college graduation next year.

Anyone wishing to send cards, letters of encouragement and/or contributions in the form of a money order or check, may email [email redacted] for mom's physical address.
All checks must be made out to: Maria Elena Miranda Recidoro
(We would appreciate if flowers and food not be sent as our fridges and home is overflowing)
Commonly asked questions:
1. Who you are: Anthony Recidoro

2. Where you’re from? I am stationed in Jacksonville, Florida with my wife and newborn daughter, Quinn, but I am currently back home in Murrieta, CA to be by my father's side one last time and to help mom and Therese with as many arrangements as I can.
3. How the funds will be spent? Funds collected here will be spent by the Recidoro family as outlined above.
4. How do you intend to get the funds to those in need? All funds collected on this website will be withdrawn to an established account for the benefit of my family. 100% of funds collected here will go to help support mom and Therese.
From the bottom of our hearts my family thanks each of you who have reached out. While we are not able to respond to each expression of love at this time, please know that we love and appreciate each and every one of you. Our hearts are slowly healing!
