In honor of Todd Shoberg, for his loving girls

Yesterday my dear friend Kira lost the love of her life. Todd Shoberg, a incredibly talented chef, pro cyclist and collector of vinyl, was in a horrific car accident and immediately lost his life. Kira and Todd have been together for 10 years, shared a sweet home on the westside of Petaluma and have a beautiful daughters: two-year old daughter, Charlie, and eight-year old Ashlyn (who Todd shared with his first wife). 

Todd was actually on his way to go on a morning ride when the accident occurred. Todd and Kira had so much life to look forward to together and shared that kind of love we all hope for. It’s a loss for our entire community and everyone who was able to call him a friend. And most of all, it is a loss for his girls, who will feel this loss for the rest of their lives.  

I want to set this up because money isn’t easy to come by and Todd worked hard everyday to support his family. Now that he is gone all of the financial responsibility falls on Kira, who also has to find the strength to be a mother and a grieving widow at the same time. I can’t even imagine. They will be missing Todd’s humor, his passion and the joy he brought to each and every day.

The funds will go straight to Kira Nilsen to help ease the burden while she adjusts to her new version of life, by way of her mother, Claire Nilsen. We love you Todd.
