Fundraising in memory & in honour of Azmal Hussain

48 hours before Azmal passing away, lying in bed and barely able to move or speak, Azmal told those close to him that he would like to help the poor and needy by building water wells, mosques and other charitable initiatives.

Azmal sadly passed away on 16 November 2020 at the young age of 35, leaving behind his wife and three young children, aged 7, 3 and 2. He had been fighting cancer since 2016 and in recent weeks his health suddenly and rapidly deteriorated, leading to his departure from this world.

Azmal was a very loving, self-less, and patient person, qualities which he continued to display even during his final moments.

Never opting to be in the limelight whilst volunteering for charitable causes, he was always the very hardworking and competent individual who would quietly yet authoritatively get the work done in the background.

He was a person of integrity and principles, always trying to be fair and just. He was also a person who one can depend on, never saying no to a person asking for help. In fact, often he would help without even being asked.

This fundraising appeal is to help fulfill that final desire he had, to raise funds for the various projects he had in mind.

The money raised will be for the following projects:

1. Four water pumps in poverty-stricken areas of the world

2. One large community water well to support a village with lack of access to clean water

2. A mosque in a poverty-stricken country that will be open for all

Any money raised beyond what is needed for the above will go to support the three young children he has left behind.
