In loving memory and honor of Dr. Adel Abdel Aziz
Dearest Family and Friends,
In loving memory and honor of Dr. Adel Abdel Aziz, we have started a funding initiative (Saadiqah Jareya) to support medical/health initiatives in Egypt.
Dr Adel Abdel Aziz has left a huge legacy behind and we will continue to build upon this legacy just as he did with all his charitable work throughout his life and all the lives he continuously to date has impacted. This fundraiser will go towards a long standing Legacy that Dr. Adel Abdel Aziz leaves behind in the field of healthcare. A true living memory of the remarkable man, husband, father, doctor, role model, friend and mentor.
We are initially targeting 500,000 EGP equivalent to approx 26,500 GBP for a chemotherapy room with full equipment.
Thank you so much for your kind donations in advance and we will keep you updated on the progress and which hospital in Egypt this will be going to. This initiative is also Zakat eligible.
Upon Dr. Adel Abdel Aziz receiving his honorary fellowship and gold college medal from the Royal college of Emergency Medicine, he gave a speech and encouraged the giving of knowledge and charity in any shape or form, especially to the less privileged countries.
“ I wasn’t prepared for all of that and normally when I make any public speech; I am rubbish. I write it and rehearse it, so this is me on the spot.
I am absolutely speechless, I didn’t expect any of that. I thought I was just coming to Cdu with my little ed family; which is still my little ed family.
My little ed family in Southampton is huge and all I wanted to say for my ed family first - thank you very much indeed for looking after me all these years. All this is not only me; this is the work I have done with you, so without you I wouldn’t have fassgem, without all of that, I would not get into this; so it’s not an individual or a personal achievement - this is ALL your achievements. So really thank you all very much indeed and a big round of applause for you all.
You all deserve this (gold medal).
Regarding the international work; I strongly advise you always look into the countries which are less privileged than you. And you can definitely help in any sense or any way. Any little help - when I start very little; I tell you it grows very much and you see the outcome . And when you see the outcome of that; it is enormous. Because what you see here as a normal thing, over there, it is more of a privilege . Please look into that all of the time. Because we are looking after ourselves but we are leaving the smaller little countries suffering and what you get in the emergency Medicine in the third world; is the proper sick people rather than what we see here. This is what I’ve learned from my international input in many countries and not just Egypt. So please look into that.
Overall, I am overwhelmed, I’m flattered and I didn’t expect any of this.
Thank you so much
Thank you so much”
Thank you again and lots of love from the Abdel Aziz Family
