In Loving Memory of Phuong To Huynh

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phuong To Huynh on September 25, 2024. She passed peacefully in her sleep at 52 after a courageous battle with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer.

Born in Vietnam in 1972 and coming to the US in 1980, Phuong's story would unfold to reveal a life well-lived full of grace, love and an unwavering brightness. She blossomed under the Florida sun where she met her first love and soul mate, her devoted husband Lance Schado. She persevered through the Buffalo NY winters to earn her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Here, the cherished milestones of her wedding to her childhood sweetheart and the blessing of their first child, Thanh, mark the beginning of her family's journey.

Phuong's passion for science and helping others led her to a successful career as a pharmacokinetics researcher at Pfizer in Groton CT. Along with the New England seaside breeze came Baby Mai, growing their family by one and completing their Four Forever circle of love.

Phuong later moved to Cary NC to further her career with GlaxoSmithKline. It quickly felt like home with family nearby and her roots thrived as she embraced the community and the life she built here.

Shining even brighter than her accomplishments is her beautiful smile and radiant soul. Phuong is a warm ray of sunlight to those fortunate enough to know her. She found beauty and peace in nature, joy in nurturing her orchids and fruit trees. She loved watching the birds from her patio especially the hummingbirds with their graceful flutter, a reflection of her own gentle spirit.

Along her journey, Phuong found her faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior and became a believer. Her faith became a wellspring of strength and courage, guiding her through challenges and lighting her path with hope. So while our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she has returned home, embraced by the love of God and the peace she so richly deserves.

Phuong's legacy lives on through her loving husband Lance; children Thanh and Mai, father Hui Van Huynh; mother Hai Thi Ly; brother Phuong Dinh; sisters Lien and Winnie; and her beloved extended family and friends.

Service will be held at Hope Community Church, 821 Buck Jones Rd, Raleigh, NC at 11am. Visitation will be from 10 - 11am.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Phuong's memory may contribute to this fund. Your contributions will help the family with expenses and serve as a testament to Phuong's legacy.
