In loving memory of Abbie Gorman

Abbie Gorman, an incredible daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and girlfriend sadly passed away on the 5th December 2023. There aren’t enough words to describe how special Abbie was, the happiness she brought to those around her, how much she was loved or how hard these past few weeks have been for her family and friends.

On the 17th of March there will be a group of us running the Liverpool half-marathon to raise money for a set of charities that helped Abbie’s mum and dad during her time in hospital.

The first charity being The Swan Team, a bereavement service at Liverpool University Hospitals set up to support patients and families in extremely difficult circumstances. Donations will help the team provide facilities such as suites, refreshments, memory boxes, toys and books for children and other aids to comfort families and friends as much as possible during end of life care.

The second being The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, aiming to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the bodies of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland/ Northern Ireland.
