In loving memory of Alfonso Rojas
Donation protected
Hi to all, my name is Norma. I've set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the Rojas family we are asking for anyone who can find it in their hearts to help us through this difficult time and make a donation to help my family as we continue making arrangements for my uncle to finally rest. Any amount will make a difference and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts as we get through this and continue forward. My uncle was a strong fighter, endured the pain to not worry his loved ones. Now we must be strong for him. He will never be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts.
Below are a few words written by his Son, Aaron Rojas,
"It's with an extremely heavy heart to share the news of the passing of my father, Alfonso Rojas. On Tuesday morning, October 31st, my family, friends and loved ones surrounded, comforted and held his hand as he peacefully earned his angel wings and ascended to heaven onto the embrace of our Lord.
My dad was a man of few words and not the most emotional or expressive individual, but everyone that knew him knew he cared for and loved his family and friends. He was a hard working and dedicated man working two full time jobs as a cook to provide for his family. Even on his days off, he was always doing something, whether it be in his yard planting and caring for his plants alongside my mom or doing DIY projects around the house. He never admitted it but he enjoyed sitting back in the couch watching professional wrestling. He was a homebody and enjoyed being silly, relaxing and having a fun quiet time with us.
Our tranquil lives took a shattering hit upon learning my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately after months of hospital visits, procedures and treatments, he succumbed to this terrible illness and passed away.
Everyday since his passing, I learn more and more from his siblings, friends and coworkers about the incredible man that he was. He never backed out from any favors asked from him. He always took his time, was meticulous with everything he did and went above and beyond with his work. He was not privy with life lessons to share with me and my siblings but he led by example. Showing us how to be a hard working, positive, respectful and trustworthy person. Dad, we love you and you will never be forgotten."
