In Loving Memory of Allyson Frost

To all our dear family and friends,

As many of you already know, our sweet mother, Allyson, passed away very unexpectedly on August 8th, 2023. Our family has been overcome with love at the outpouring of support, prayers, stories and memories, and most of all, love for our firecracker of a mother, sister, and aunt.

To know our mother was to know “a light in dark places, when all other lights go out”. She was always there waiting with open arms for those who needed it, from her family to her friends, my friends, my sisters’ friends, her students, and of course, her books! She was probably one of the most well-read people you’ve ever met in your life and one of the smartest people we’ve ever known. Her love for and knowledge of music and art was as equally great as her love for her books. She had a quick wit and the driest sense of humor, always pulling from pop culture past and present. Her love and adoration for our father knew no bounds, from that infamous night of his birthday when they got together (if you know, you know!), through marriage and daughters, through cancer, to the end and after - there were no two people more meant for each other than them. Our mother wasn’t a religious woman, but we know that she is with him - wherever they may be - laughing and reading and rocking out.

To honor her memory and to help us bridge the gap between life with her and now life without her, I am asking for help from our family and loved ones in supporting us through this transition. Donations will be going towards the cremation, the memorial service, and supporting myself and my sisters, Irene and Arwen, through these first months of unexpected life expenses until we can fully settle the estate.
