For our beloved Andres Valdivia,
On June 14, 2020 Andres Valdivia joined our heavenly father into eternal life. Andres, surrounded by hischildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, transitioned peacefully from this world into eternal rest. As we celebrate his fulfilled life here on earth, we welcome you to read about such an extraordinary god-fearing man whom we will all miss dearly.
This is a short story about a great man named Andres Valdivia. He was born in Jalisco, Mexico in 1921 to parents, Jose and Nabor Valdivia. The youngest of nine, Andres flourished into a man who was honest, brave, hardworking, faithful, and selfless. He possessed high morals and values, but most importantly, he was a man that was undoubtedly devoted to God. He had an immense love for his wife Lidia Valdivia and their 10 children. Andres was married to his soulmate “Lila” for 71 years. Together, they dedicated their entire life to their children and grandchildren. As a union, they faced many obstacles immigrating to the United states, but overcame them all with their faith and succeeded in establishing a foundation that has transpired into a legacy. Through all their successions, assisting others was always placed as an importance. When Andres and Lila bought their first home in Lynwood, CA they made it a priority to keep their doors open to everyone who needed their assistance. Their dream of obtaining their first home in the States, could not be complete without lending a hand to those whom needed it most. Andres planted a seed of love and faith in those he met everywhere. His strong convictions for Jesus Christ and his Catholic faith made him into the wonderful human he was. He was passionate about his faith, the rosary, and the holy mass. He always believed in treating your neighbor with love and respect and lived this firmly and truly until his final days. For all those who knew Andres, he always had a big smile on his face and would give you his blessings no matter who you were. May his devotion to God, uplift you when you are doubtful. May his laughter fill your heart, when you are in need of encouragement, and may his profound love for his family and our holy father lend as a convenient to a transcendent love that is faithful and true.
As a family we are raising money to help cover excess funeral and memorial cost. The extra support from our family, friends, and community will assist us in honoring his memory as we prepare to say our final goodbyes. As a family we are forever grateful to those who were able to part of Andre’s life. Although, our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he is in heaven and has reunited with his loving wife, Mama Lila. Our family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous love and support. May God bless you and please know that we are praying for you!
With love and gratitude,
The Valdivia Family
