In Loving Memory of Arlene Daugherty

To our dearest family and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the news of our mother's recent passing. In the morning of October 25th, while we were all together at home, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. For the past two years, our mother has been struggling with her health due to severe complications with ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a rare neurological disease that progressively weakens the body to the point of paralysis. There is no cure for ALS, only hope. Although she lost many of her motor functions over time, she still fought to be with us till the very end. And in return, we did everything that we could do to make her laugh and smile every single day.
At the young age of 51, Arlene Daugherty was deeply loved and cared for by her three children: Cassandra Daugherty, Chello Capacite, Christian Capacite and her fur-ever best friend: Pascal the Pug. Her nurturement touched many generations of our family. She raised us on her own as a strong and independent single mother after our father passed away in 2007. As we got older, we were proud to support our mom by securing our first family home for her just three years ago. We know that our lives will never be the same without her, but it brings us peace knowing that she is reunited with our dad up in Heaven.
In an effort to honor our mother, we would sincerely appreciate any assistance you can offer. These contributions will be allocated to cover her funeral arrangements and to help us manage through this difficult time. A little goes a long way for us and we are incredibly grateful for all the love and support we've received thus far. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love,
Cassandra, Chello, Christian & Pascal
