In loving memory of Ashley Denness

On Christmas Eve 2023 the forever loving, kind, smart, talented and vivacious Ashley Denness suddenly and tragically passed away. Ash was in QLD when she passed away.

To know Ash was to love her.

Ash was a cherished daughter, loving sister and sister-in-law, adored life long partner, fun auntie, trusted friend, an incredible nurse and colleague as well as a loving mum to her fur babies. She embodied everything you ever needed and wanted in a person. She made everything feel so effortless and just like home.

Ash was that sparkle in every room. She just had that presence about her. An aura that she gave off. You knew she was the epitome of kindness.

Ash was blessed with an incredibly supportive and loving family who she absolutely adored. She loved and cared for her family, her life partner and friends so fiercely.

Ash made an enormous difference in the world and in the lives of many around her. Whether you knew her for 5 minutes or a lifetime- it simply did not matter. Ash made you feel special in your own way and always made the effort to connect with you in a very unique way.

Ash dedicated her career to caring for some of the most vulnerable and sick babies during her 12 years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Ash touched the lives of many babies and their families during quite often the hardest time of their lives.

Most recently Ash joined ‘NETS’ - the Newborn and Paediatric Intensive Care Transport Service where she worked for 7 months prior to her passing. A dream job for Ash - an incredible accomplishment. As predicted, Ash was a phenomenal NETS nurse.

Your contributions will go towards the transfer of Ash back to Sydney, funeral costs, memorial service arrangements, and any other additional support Ash’s family require during this trying period.
