As many of you know, my mom Barb Sherman has been fighting cancer for years. And years before that, she fought beside her mother, and 3 of her sisters. On January 31st, we got the news that no one wants to hear: There's nothing more that we can do. She's been fighting for so long. What we thought would be years has turned into days, weeks if we are lucky.
Our family is devastated. Barb is at MGH Boston, on Ellison 16th floor, room 36 if anyone wishes to visit her. Time is short.
Whether you've known her your whole life, or worked with her at the 99 Restaurant, you know she is an amazing woman (though quite sassy). She loves most people and would do anything to help another. She loves her dogs and her kids, and family is everything to her. Our family is asking for help to cover the costs of a funeral and burial at Woodlawn cemetery in Everett, where the rest of our family rests. Any help, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
