In loving memory of Barrie Waldman Marker

It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of Barrie Waldman Marker on January 12, 2022.

Barrie was a loving and supportive wife, an amazing and devoted mother, a beloved and fierce big sister, and a dedicated and adoring daughter. Barrie characterized all that is good in the world; every rainbow, every smile and all the sparkles. She was a special and invested teacher, whose nickname was The Barrie Godmother. She was a true friend to everyone she met and will be missed by so many people. Her passion and fervor for life was inescapably contagious, you could not spend even seconds with her without smiling and feeling immensely loved.

We want to help her husband and child continue to be able to live in the home they recently purchased. Without a second income for the family, this will be a great challenge. Therefore, this fundraiser is being established with that goal in mind. Please contribute whatever you can so they may remain in their home, sprinkled with Barrie’s magical touch and memories, for a few more years while her kiddo finishes high school.

We are so grateful for all of you who loved Barrie, too, and have asked how to support her sweet little family get through this devastating tragedy. Your outpouring of kindness, generosity and love reminds us of what a special and powerful woman she was. While we all miss her, please remember all of the light and laughter Barrie brought to your life, and hold her memory close to your heart.
