In loving memory of Bryon Clapp
It is with a heavy heart that I say that we have lost someone extremely special, and his family needs our help. Bryon Clapp sadly passed away suddenly at the age of 43 this past week. He leaves behind a loving wife, Angela, and two sweet girls Anna Mae, and Ember. Along with them, he also leaves behind five of the original Clapp party of six Doug, Nancy, Rhyne, Nick and Becca. This GoFundMe page is simply to help them out with family expenses to get them through this tough time.
Since the news of Bryon’s passing, so many people have reached out to lend a helping hand, wanting to know how they could assist in any way. People knew Bryon on many different levels. He was a pretty shy and private guy. The people close to him knew that he was so much more than a quiet person. He had an unbelievable sense of humor. He was always the first to show us the latest Youtube video that would crack you up for hours. He was one of the most kind and sensitive people you could ever meet. He would always show genuine concern for people who were going through tough times. It would bother him, and he would always try to help in the most sincere and gentle way possible.
Bryon was a family man. He wanted nothing more to be with his family, and he longed for more of it. When life outside of his family got busy and he had to be away, he always spoke of wanting to be there with them more. He loved those two girls so much, and he was very proud of them. His strong family upbringing made him this way. The Clapp’s had something special going up there in Northern Maine. Bryon had the “Mind of a Child.” He was fun loving and enjoyed the simple things of life. He loved the July 4th get-togethers at his mom and dad’s house where family and friends would play the most creative and fun games ever. Believe me, a multiple day party like no other.
Bryon’s memory of all things books, music and movies was mind boggling. He remembered lyrics and movie quotes like nobody’s business. Bryon loved all things positive in the world. He really always wanted to focus on the positive, and he shied away from the negative things because they got him down. He had strong feelings about what was right, and what was wrong. He never could change all the wrongs of the world and it crushed him. He constantly pondered why things were the way they were.
Bryon was the most talented singer/ musician. Without looking or even speaking to a crowd of people, he had them in the palm of his hand hanging on every word/note. People would feel his passion and sincerity pouring from his soul, wondering if the veins in his neck would explode when he hit crazy notes. Bryon could bring a crowd to tears by just singing words he believed in. He had a gift like no other, but the beauty of it is that he did not realize it. That is what made him the beautiful human being that he was. Bryon opened up his soul and people just wanted in. He still HAS that effect on me everytime I hear his voice. 25 years of playing along with him and that passion, feeling, innocence and honesty never went away. Most of you reading this know what I am talking about. It’s so hard to explain.
I could go on forever, but I won’t because Bryon’s actions speak for themselves, and his voice does the rest. I have known Bryon for over 35 years, and his sweet gentle soul will leave an imprint on me forever. A celebration of life will be coming in the future for us to pay tribute to Bryon. Please help his family if you can.
