In Loving Memory of Carlos Cortez, Jr.

Carlos Cortez, Jr. was born in San Antonio, TX, on January 2, 1953. Carlos loved his grandkids, music, the LA Lakers, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was funny, kind, and beloved by his kids and grandkids. We know he has many friends, a testament to the joyful, good-natured person he was.

Carlos passed on July 7, 2023, in Pomona, CA. It was a shock to us all. He was 70 years young and gone way too soon. We're not asking for much in terms of his donations. His request was always for cremation; we didn't get to discuss what to do with his ashes. We believe he would have wanted to be near his grandkids, so we've purchased him a Dallas Cowboys urn, and he will stay with his eldest daughter, which was the plan when we thought he would recover.

We will miss you forever, Dad.
