In Loving Memory of Catherine Xiao

Hello friends and family. With aching hearts, we share news of Catherine Xiao’s sudden passing, who died at age 22 on 08/16/2024.

She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in computer science this May. Passionate about aerospace, she had just begun to work as a software engineer at Lockheed Martin. With ambitions of starting a business and pursuing graduate education in the future, it is heart-breaking to see her time cut so short. It is my wish that you remember her as the ambitious, independent, and gentle soul that she was. Some of her favorite hobbies consisted of music, tennis, hiking, reading, and caring for animals and pets.

Please feel free to join us at Catherine’s funeral service and celebration of life on Monday, August 26th at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services (503 Terry Street, Longmont, CO 80501) at 8:30 AM. My family and I would love to see everyone who has loved and supported Catherine throughout her life. However, at this time, we would like to ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy and allow us to grieve without asking any questions regarding her passing. We have set up a GoFundMe to assist with the funeral service and its associated costs.

Additionally, thank you to those who previously donated to our dad’s cancer treatment fund. This has been a very difficult time for our family and we are eternally grateful for your continued support.
