In loving memory of Charles W. Sorrentino

Update: We have hit the goal the amount of $1,500. We are extremely greatful for everyone that decided to help us in this traumatic time. However when I originally made this fundraiser I was still in NJ speaking over the phone to family in Tennessee about estimated costs which is why I originally set the goal that I did. It wasn't until I got here and spoke with the funeral director that I found out it was going to be more than originally expected. So I have updated the goal amount to reflect that. These costs include the following. Cremation, preparation of the body for viewing, fee for the church where we are having the service for him, along with an urn, flowers, and some extra charges such as fees and taxes for the state and funeral home. I shouldn't have been so hasty and deciding on a goal amount until I actually got here and spoke with the funeral home. But emotions were high and we were all going through a very rough time. The support we have gotten so far is unprecedented. So even if we don't hit this updated goal I am eternally grateful for everybody.
Hello Everyone, My name is Kevin and as some of you may be aware my father, Charles Sorrentino was taken from us suddenly on Thursday April 28th, 2022. He was born and raised in Paterson NJ and moved to Tennessee in 2017.
Those of you who knew him knows he would have given the shirt off his back for someone in need. He just recently went through a leg amputation due to complications from his type 2 diabetes. When he returned home from his traumatic surgery he remained in relatively high spirits making jokes about his misfortune. He always tried to be the most spirited in the room. Even though his family was already in pain he was hopeful for the future. In the past month his health declined at a spiraling rate. His Passing was sudden and devastating to his family and most of all myself. He didn't have any life insurance so his family is left with all the final expense. We just want to have a small service in Tennessee where he lived with his immediate family along with getting him the urn he deserves. We know he would be happy with the outcome. For all his friends and family in NJ that cannot make it to Tennessee, All proceeds will be used towards funeral services, cremation fee, and a decorative urn for his final resting place. Any money gathered over the goal amount will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. Thank you all and God bless. If you wouldn't mind please share this with your family and friends. As if only to bring awareness. My father was an acceptional man and accepted everyone regardless of race, creed, or nationality. He had a heart of gold and I am going to miss him dearly.
