In loving memory of Chef Derrick Jones

It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the loss of our former colleague and family member Derrick Jones. For 10 years Chef Derrick poured his heart and soul into every dish he created for us here at Pixar. He meant so much to our Culinary Family and to so many at the studio. More than filling our bellies every day he filled our hearts with so much love and laughter.

There are little words that could truly convey the sentiment of his loss. Spending so many years so many hours together, it's impossible to not feel like we lost such a shining star.

In the wake of this tragedy, we would like to show support to his family in any way we can. We know that no amount of money can heal the hurt and void we all feel, but it will at the very least help his family cover some of the expenses during this unexpected and sudden loss. Whatever is left will go to his loving grandparents who as most of you know were his biggest culinary inspiration.
