In Loving Memory of Cheryl Sears

So many friends and family have asked how they can support our family during this sad time and we’re so grateful for your love and compassion. Our sweet sister, Cheryl Lynn Sears, was called home on Sunday, September 11th to be with the Lord. Her husband, Nate, and their sons Andrew & Isaiah are devastated by this sudden loss.
Although she was born with a physically flawed heart, her heart for God, her family and her friends was flawless. She used her physical weakness to be her spiritual strength. Cheryl couldn’t walk for long distances without getting winded, she couldn’t be out in the hot sun for long periods of time, she was frail but she was the strongest woman we knew. She never let her limitations keep her from “loving up on people”. She was a social butterfly and made friends everywhere she went. When she physically couldn’t support people, she found ways to encourage people through phone calls, texts, cards, prayer, gifts and she even learned how to use Facebook! She had a quiet wisdom and knew who to reach out to and how to reach out to them. Anyone who knew her would say she was the most loving person, humble, inspiring, her faith in God was astonishing and she truly lived her life giving of herself.
Cheryl’s words from the last page of her notebook:
“The MORE we talk of his miracles, and share our faith, love God with all our hearts, soul, and mind, and really love others with that AGAPE love that only our awesome God could have created and then we die. Well, then hopefully, we stand before our maker and hear him saying ‘job well done, my good and faithful servant’…then and ONLY THEN, is there no longer a need for a life alert in this world or the next. To God Be the glory.”
All Cheryl ever wanted to be was a good wife and a mom. Despite doctors predictions that she would never be a mom, she was blessed with two sweet boys. In lieu of flowers, we’ve set up a go fund me for Nate and the boys to help with unexpected costs surrounding this tragedy. Please keep the family in your prayers.
