Support for Griffin Family

Parents of the Quarry Lane School’s middle schoolers once again request your support for the Griffin family, in memory of Mr. Christopher Griffin, the late husband of Mrs. Charlotte Griffin, our children’s beloved history and mythology teacher.

 

Mrs. Griffin says, “Chris was a happy and supportive father who wanted the world for his children and passed on his love of Lego to the next generation. He was the happiest when he held his children, Sarah, 8 and Xander, 5."

Now Sarah is nine and Xander is six but the kids are still young and have a long way to go. They need our support more than ever.

 

We were all deeply saddened by the passing of Christopher and requested compassion of a broader community through Go Fund Me (GFM). We raised $ 21 K in the first year through this page that GFM directly deposited in Mrs. Griffin's account. The funds were used for family therapy so that little Xander and Sarah could process the loss of their father and could continue their education. Additional funds will go a long way in building a safe and supportive future for both children so we request you to make whatever small contribution you can make.

 

Mrs. Griffin is tremendously grateful for the outpouring of support from her community, her family, friends, colleagues, and her QLS students’ families.

 

It takes a village to raise a child and we have two beautiful children who need to know that they can count on all of us.

 

In the spirit of the Holiday Season, we seek your kindness and empathy and appeal for a modest or a genrous support, whatever you are comfortable with, with your name attached to it or anonymously. Please consider donating for this loving, kind, and dedicated teacher who, despite her immense grief, returned to teaching her students in less than ten days after the tragic and sudden loss of her husband.

As Mrs. Griffin continues to dedicate herself to educating our children, we stand together in solidarity and support her young children.

 

Mrs. Charlotte Griffin is the beneficiary of this fundraiser. The Griffin family is from the Tri-Valley area and resides in Pleasanton.
