In loving memory of Christopher Lees

My story started 39 years ago, in Africa, living near a timber mill with my parents and my little sister Joanna. I have very fond memories of our life there and remember sitting on my dad’s lap while he was riding his motorbike.
My parents moved back to France before I started school, that’s when I started to play rugby and met lifelong friends. Although rugby filled my weekends, I found time to surf, skydive and complete my teaching degree.
While visiting a friend in Australia, I met a beautiful girl who was finishing her nursing degree, she’s not only beautiful but she’s smart and we had an instant connection. We stayed in touch and eventually this beautiful girl, Anna accepted my proposal to be my wife.
We lived together in my hometown, Tyrosse France for 1 year before we moved to Australia for a new adventure.
Anna and I got married in 2016 in Cairns and welcomed our beautiful son Thomas in 2018.
In 2020, we bought our home together where we have enjoyed adding small touches and making big memories.
I work as a teacher and I love the outdoors, skydiving, surfing, golf, skateboarding, mountain biking and triathlons.
Thomas is growing fast, he enjoys when I take him on adventures, bike riding, swimming and playing with the ball! He even has a great swing with the golf club! He’s very much like me and makes me very proud.
Thomas will be a great big brother, Anna and I are excited as we expect our next baby in June.
I’m fit and ready to compete in the triathlon next month, March…
On Friday, the 10th of February, while teaching, I suffered a cardiac arrest & despite the quick response from the school and the medical personnel, I was unable to be revived.
My story should not be that short.
As I’m no longer here to take care of Anna, Thomas & our upcoming baby, my friends have set up this page to try to support my family in my absence.
