We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Cindy Alfaro Martinez, who left us on March 2, 2025. Cindy was born on May 31, 2005, and grew up in East Boston. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and intelligence, and always made a lasting impact on the people around her. Cindy was a vibrant 19-year-old full of promise and ambition. She was set to embark on an exciting new chapter at Boston University after earning a prestigious full-tuition scholarship.

As the Salutatorian of East Boston High School's Class of 2023, she was a top scholar who worked tirelessly to achieve her goals. In addition to her academic achievements, she played three sports, served on the executive board of her school’s National Honor Society, and held many jobs. She was a role model to many.

Cindy was an extraordinary person, daughter, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. This page is dedicated to celebrating her life and raising funds to help with funeral expenses, medical bills, and to provide support for her parents Rolando and Marjoris during this incredibly difficult time.
