in loving memory of David McConnell: funeral support

on August 29th early AM, we experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of my grandfather David McConnell. His passing has deeply impacted his family and those he knew or worked with. My grandfather lived on 10 acre of farm life and his passion of animals was passed on to me but within his passion of farm life he was known as the boot scoot n boogie guy, he loved his children and grandbabies, his dog Taco, and he loved to joke around.

my mom, dad and his partner John are facing an enormous challenge navigating life without him. In 2019 started his medical journey but within the last few years he continually had strokes and seizures with dementia. David lived to be 79 years old and as a father, grandfather, uncle, and best friend of many his memory will forever remain. Even though I lost my best friend, I’m so glad he was able to see me marry my best friend August 23. I’d love to create support and care for my parents and his partner during this time. My mom gave up her life which also meant they became a one income household, to take care of him 24/7 with John to give him the proper care and ensure a comfortable home.

in light of these circumstances, we are seeking to raise funds and assist with funeral costs and an opportunity for my dad to take off work to support my mom. This will allow my family to focus on each other and help us through grieving. Any contribution no matter how big or small is deeply appreciated.
