In Loving Memory of Derrick Albrecht

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Derrick on April 3rd, 2025. Derrick was not just a devoted husband to Lisa, a loving father to Ashley, Christopher, and Natalie, and a cherished grandfather to his two beautiful little grandchildren (Evelyn and Charlotte); he was the heart and soul of his family and our community. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving an indelible mark on our lives.

Derrick's passing occurred during the memorial service for Lisa's mother, Christina Cusack, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Covington, WA. After the touching ceremony, Derrick began to feel unwell and stepped outside for some fresh air. Despite the immediate 911 call and the paramedics' quick response and tireless efforts to revive him, Derrick sadly left us that day.

Derrick was a mentor and father figure to many, always ready with guidance and support. He had an amazing career and was well-respected in the auto industry community, where his expertise and dedication were widely recognized. Derrick found a way to connect with people through his love for cars, music, food, bourbon, and life itself. His ability to bring people together and create lasting bonds was truly remarkable.

As we grapple with this unimaginable loss, we hope to honor Derrick’s memory by supporting his family during this difficult time. Derrick’s generosity and compassion were boundless; he would have been the first to offer help to each of us without hesitation. Many of you have asked how to best support the family, and in response, we have created this avenue for you to contribute in any way you can. Your support will ease any financial burden and allow Lisa and their children to focus on healing and cherishing Derrick’s legacy.
