In Loving Memory of Devin "Queenie" Jones

Devin was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in February of this year, 2022. Strength does not begin to describe her many attributes. She conquered her treatments, powered through the sickness that accompanies chemotherapy and limb salvage surgery. This surgery removed her tumor, while still saving her leg. She resided in the post-op nursing facility for an entire month to complete wound care, which is excruciating.

She announced on December 6, 2022 that she BEAT CANCER! On December 9, 2022, she rang the "golden bell" and everyone was filled with joy and in awe of her perseverance. Throughout, this entire time, she was still sure to respond to texts and even post some beautiful photos (If you haven't seen them, please look at her page. Only Dev was able to look that stunning in general, let alone during cancer treatments...baddie).

Devastatingly, on Christmas Eve, Devin visited the emergency room and passed away due to a blood clot that had developed in her heart. This was a complication of the chemotherapy.

Devin emitted light in every room she possessed. She was generous, hard-working, and hilarious. She cared deeply for her family and friends and always went out of her way to make others feel special. She loved birthdays and lit up when she encountered another "Virgo Queen!" She was always there to listen, offer advice, and be the first person to say "You're better than that, get rid of him." Her laugh was contagious and her presence powerful. Devin is loved. She is missed. Hearts are broken.
