Please support this fundraising effort for Marie's family to travel and attend a "Celebration of Marie's Life" event at California State University, Long Beach, tentatively scheduled in September 2024. The Department of History and the College of Liberal Arts are currently planning the event.

Marie's family members have kindly accepted our invitation to this event that will be a reflection on, and celebration of, Marie's life and impact on those who knew her. Marie's family must travel from Portland, Oregon. This will cost a lot (as you know). I aim to raise $3,600 for five family members ($300 airfare/person, $400 two-night lodging for four rooms, and $100 food and transportation/person).

I would sincerely appreciate any contribution you can make. Please feel free to forward this information to Marie's friends outside of CSULB.
