This page is set up by the juniors of George Eliot Hospital, supported kindly by Professor Vinod Patel, Dr Sarfaraz Nawaz and Dr Junaid Alamgir (Consultants in George Eliot Hospital).
The outpouring of love and support across has been overwhelming & Dr Winston Crasto leaves behind a legacy of respect, kindness, charity and compassion. We would like to lessen the burden on his family just as he would for us.
We are creating this fund to help support his family (wife and children) he leaves behind. The fund collected will go to his wife Rehana Crasto directly to cover for any of their future expenses.
It is with immense sadness and pain that we must convey the heart-breaking news of the unforeseen and tragic passing of our beloved loved Dr Winston Crasto on the 15/01/2024 following a sudden cardiac arrest. He was the clinical director at the George Eliot, an amazing mentor, a great leader and above all, a kind gentle soul.

- His kindness, work ethic, generosity and willingness to help people in George Eliot Hospital & outside of work were part and parcel of what made him who he was and therefore much loved and irreplaceable and much respected.
We are beyond devastated and heartbroken, but we are comforted knowing how loved he is and how much support we have around us. We love you more than words can express and there will forever be a void in our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and their children at this difficult time and we would like you all to join in and provide support in respect for the good things he has done for each and every of us.

- I, Dr Radha Gurung (Rana), was Dr Crasto's diabetes &endocrinology registrar in George Eliot hospital from the period of 2018 to 2020, am currently a GP registrar with Coventry and Warwickshire VTS. He was my mentor and most importantly family to me.
