It's with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Eddy Safford. On November 11th around 5:30 p.m. the fire department was called to a farmhouse on fire in Waterloo Ne with people patentionally trapped inside. Fire crews said the homeowner tried to put the fire out himself but was overcome with smoke inhalation. A family friend started CPR on Safford, but it was unsuccessful. He was declared dead on the scene. The house along with everything inside including family pets perished in the fire
Ed leaves behind two kids who have to pick up the pieces right before the holidays.
I am setting up this gofundme in honor of Ed and to help my dearest friend and her family through this devastating time. The funds raised will go toward funeral and burial expensive. The Safford family has been through alot in the past year with the unexpected passing of their mother due to cancer and now the tragic loss of their father in a house fire.
Ed was a good man and wonderful father. Always had a positive outlook on life, he could light up any room and put a smile on anyone's face. It truly was a honor to have know Ed.
