In Loving Memory of Eric, Althea's Friend

Hi, my name is Susan. I am a Mom and Stepmom to 4 precious children. I can't imagine my life without them. The love for a child is like none other and is a precious gift.

My heart is heavy as our community lost a remarkable 12-year-old boy, Eric. He was Althea's friend for many of those years. When they were younger, and they both got off the Elementary School Bus, he would open the door of our Nana's car for her to get in. I remember that he was always smiling when we waved to him, playing out in his yard. He and Althea spent many Birthday's laughing and being kids. He was such a sweet little boy.

I cannot express how heartbroken we are that Eric is gone. His family needs love and prayers. Today, we have set up this fundraiser to help our neighbor in the days ahead and help with the cost associated with the funeral expenses. I hope that kindness will prevail and that many of my family and friends will offer support to ease some of the burdens of this tragic loss. I want to go ahead and say Thank You for helping and being Kind.
