In Loving Memory of Everest

As many of you may know, my sweet nephew Everest was tragically taken from us on Saturday in a car accident on the Paulson. Everest was a beautiful soul—so full of love, adventure, and kindness. He had an extraordinary gift for making everyone around him feel included and cherished, and his absence has left an immeasurable void in our hearts.

During this incredibly difficult time, the family has not asked for anything, but I wanted to reach out on their behalf and offer an opportunity for us to support them. Mike, Everest’s step father who was in the accident, will need time off work to heal from the traumatic nature of the accident along with trauma treatment. Cory, Everest’s father, will need to step away from work to heal. Everest’s siblings—Archer, Eli, and Avery—will require ongoing counselling. Additionally, there are funeral costs and unforeseen expenses that my hardworking sister would do everything in her power to manage. Yet, I believe this is a moment where we, as a community, can come together to lighten their burden and sorrow and show them how deeply loved and supported they truly are.

All funds will go directly to my sister and Everest's mother, Nicole Ripley; who will distribute the funds after the funeral expenses. From the remaining, 50% of the funds will go to Cory, Avery, and Eli, and the remaining will go towards Mike and Archer recovery, as well as a legacy fund for Everest.
