In Loving Memory of FELIX ALONZO

Dear friends, family, and kind souls,

My name is Patty Munguia, and alongside his beloved granddaughter, Camila Alonzo, we are creating this GoFundMe campaign for our wonderful Felix Alonzo.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of his passing. Felix was a cherished family man and an angel on Earth who touched the lives of everyone he encountered.

Felix's passing, despite his hospitalization, was sudden and surprising. He was on the road to recovery and eventual treatment to cure his newly diagnosed leukemia. Still, due to severe complications, he wasn't even able to begin the battle to beat cancer. He still had a long life to live, having been so healthy and strong. We are empty without him but are grateful for the man he was and the legacy he left. Now, he is an Angel in Heaven, being in the presence of the Lord, doing His work.

Felix Alonzo, or Don Felix as l knew him, was a light in this world. He was a gentle and sweet soul who was like a father to me and a grandfather to my kids. I am certain he made many others feel the same way.

As for his beloved granddaughter, Camila, she so sweetly says: I loved my grandfather so much because he was so accepting of others and the closest thing to perfect. I want to be like him because he was such a good example of Christ's True Love. He made everyone feel happy and showed unique and unconditional love to all. He made me so happy, and I will miss him forever.

Felix, a devoted Latter-Day Saint, served as a bishop for 12 years, dedicating his life to serving others and spreading love and kindness. During his recent hospitalization from December 4th through January 9th, he continued to radiate warmth and love, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of nurses, doctors, and all who cared for him.

As we navigate through this difficult time, due to his sudden and unexpected passing, we are faced with the financial strain of funeral costs, medical bills, and other expenses. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and extended family to humbly ask for support during this challenging period for his family. Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping us honor Felix's memory and provide him with the farewell he deserves.

He leaves behind his beloved, eternal companion of 53 years, an only son, two beautiful grandchildren, and so many who truly loved him.
