In Loving Memory of Fernand Mare(1950 - 2024)

Donation protected
On Sunday, September 8th, Fernand "Fred" Mare passed away.

For those who didn't know him, he was a dedicated Father, Husband, and dog lover. For those who did know him, he was also a dedicated Giants fan but an even bigger Yankees fan. He was an active member in our community through the Boy Scouts, Mom & Pops Club of Lawrence High School, and a Soccer Coach for the Hewlett-Lawrence Soccer Club.

Almost 20 years ago, my father was diagnosed with an Atrial Fibrillation and had to undergo a Quintuple Bypass to save his life. The surgery was a success and the doctors would later mention his heart was functioning at only 8% of its full capacity. If it wasn't for that procedure, this story would have been different. It was a long road to recovery but my father took on his second chance. This was certainly not a smooth path, but there were plenty of moments he got to experience; seeing me compete at the Head of the Charles and grabbing dinner in Boston, visiting my first art show in Brooklyn, and having him see me get married. We were grateful for the extra years that were given and I know we will always treasure these moments.

All donations raised will go towards funeral expenses.
